At GoatHerd Coffee, we blend passion, tradition, and a love for coffee to create a truly enchanting experience—one that’s rooted in history but crafted with a personal touch.

Our story draws inspiration from centuries ago, when a humble goat herder named Kaldi witnessed something extraordinary. His goats, after munching on vibrant red berries, were bursting with energy. Curiosity led Kaldi to taste these berries himself, and what followed was nothing short of magic—a newfound clarity and alertness, sparking the birth of the world’s first coffee.

Inspired by this captivating tale, we embarked on our own coffee journey in 2020, roasting small batches of coffee for ourselves, family, and friends. What began with a simple roaster soon grew into something bigger, much like Kaldi’s discovery. We moved from roasting in a bike shed with an old-fashioned roaster to carefully crafting each batch by hand with small 1kg roasters.

At GoatHerd Coffee, it’s not just about the coffee—it’s about the experience. Like Kaldi, we are driven by passion and a commitment to excellence. Every cup is a tribute to the world’s rich coffee history, from sourcing the finest beans to hand-placing the stickers on every bag. We believe small-batch roasting makes all the difference, allowing the deep flavours to truly shine.
